Golden Rules of Placement
- Direction: The Pegasus must always fly forward. On the driver's side, it flies from right to left; on the passenger side, it is mirror-inverted so it still faces the front.
- Angle: Tilt the decal at an angle so the nose of the horse is level with the ground.
- Classic Placement: Historically seen on vintage race cars (like the Porsche 356 and 911), it is traditionally placed on the front fenders, right behind or slightly above the wheel well.
Step-by-Step Application
- Prep the Surface: Thoroughly clean the application area with 91% or higher rubbing alcohol to remove dirt, grease, and wax. Let it dry completely.
- Align: Use painter's tape to hold the decal in place while you step back to check the angle and ensure the horse's nose is parallel to the ground.
- Stick: Carefully peel the backing, apply the decal from one side to the other, and firmly squeegee it to prevent air bubbles.
- Remove Transfer Tape: Slowly peel away the clear transfer layer at a sharp angle.
- Cure: Allow the adhesive to set undisturbed for at least 24 to 72 hours before washing the vehicle.
